9" round metal cake pan (treat lightly with vegetable spray) Oven 375 degrees (round glass dish - 350 degrees Bake 40 minutes Medium bowl 2 cups flour 2 cups brown sugar (do not pack) 1/2 cup chilled butter (cut butter into chucks) Using a pastry knife, cut butter into the dry mixture Add to dry mixture 1 egg lightly beaten 1 cup Buttermilk (low fat is okay to use) 1 t Baking Soda 1t Pure Vanilla Extract Mix by hand to blend together Pour into a cake tin Sprinkle with cinnamon Check center with a knife - comes out clean |
