Ham & Cheese Soufflé

  • Use Two 2-quart casseroles, greased
  • 1 loaf cubed Italian bread
  • 1 pound sliced cooked ham, cubed
  • 12 ounces shredded cheddar cheese

Blend well:

  • 6 tablespoons flour
  • 5 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons dry mustard
  • 8 eggs
  • 4 1/2 cups milk (1/2 evaporated, 1/2 water) 

Pour mixture over ham & cheese and bread. Chill covered overnight. Bake uncovered at 359 degrees for 1 1/4 hours. Serve immediately.
