Grandma's Brownies

Measure into a bowl or sifter                         

  • 3/4 Cup Hershey's Cocoa
  • 1 1/2 cups flour                                                 
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Blend together in large mixing bowl

  • 2 Sticks of margarine or butter, melted (1 cup)
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 Eggs
  • 2 Teaspoons vanilla

Add dry ingredients slowly and blend well with wooden spoon. Blend in 1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts or pecans (optional). Bake in greased 9" x 13" baking pan for 25 to 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Cut when cool. Makes 32 brownies. (Submitted by Sandy Berry, Marketing Director: handed down to her by Grandma) .
